Any ideas how I could go about finding a manual - even to just borrow and photocopy. The machine looks too high tech for me tackle it without a manual. Thankyou for any suggestions. You can also use instructions for a newer model (from the company) to try and use yours. Depending on how old it is. It will be difficult to find it online, and even more so to find someone with the same model. 0 0 soldner Lv 4 4 years ago Breville Coffee Machine Instructions Source(s): 0 0 Anonymous 4 years ago Breville Coffee Maker Manual Source(s): 0 0 Still have questions. Its simply impossible to get decent coffee out of this machine because it uses steam to brew the coffee. Ideal temp for brewing is 93-94 degrees. Thermoblock or boiler coffee machines can make coffees as good as the cafes but not if the brewing is via steam pressure. 2 likes Share More Similar opinion. Write a review on ProductReview.com.au ! You can only mmake 2 cups and then you need to wait for the pressure to lower otherwise the next cups pour out weird. Write a review on ProductReview.com.au ! leusac QLD, 4019 39 reviews 22 likes Maybe I was expecting too much of a small coffee machine. For the ones that really appreciate a nice cup of coffee, this model has not much to offer, besides some nice and hot frothy milk. Good price! Nice looking design. Good quality stainless steel finish that is easy and practical to keep clean. It froths milk really well. It died a couple of weeks after the 12 months warranty had expired. It makes a very average tasting coffee, so the real coffee lovers would be quite disappointed about how the coffee tastes. A lot of steam scapes through the pressure pump while the machine is operating. It is quite noisy when pumping the water. 1 like Share More 3 comments Garyff 9 years ago I am guessing this is because you didn't bother maintaining the machine monthly with a decalcifying solution as suggested in the instruction manual Like Report peter lang 8 years ago I found this a great little coffee maker very ha;pp;y with it. Wouldn't buy this one again though due to the awful taste if it isnt rinsed out. Cheap coffee maker and fairly easy to use once you have mastered how much coffee to put in according to taste. The milk frother is ok but not as good as in the coffee shops. Have to rinse it out EVERY time as otherwise the coffee has that horrible reboiled water taste and is undrinkable. Not an easy task with some of the uncommon screws which are used. We couldn't find any blockage in the tube or the filter. The filter prong was the only cleaning item provided with the coffee unit and you had to push it through each hole at a very awkward angle. https://www.euroservicemilano.it/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/16286a14fd1dd6---Caa-template-manuals.pdf

Eventually on tipping the contents of the water flask which had only been filled about 50 times into a white bowl we found thousands of tiny grey bits and the water too was grey. Obviously this contamination was responsible for the blockage in the flask. The holes for the steam are completely inaccessible so we have now put vinegar in it and rinsed it through about 20 times. If the flask needs regular cleaning then why make it almost impossible to get at. AND how about proper instructions on the process. Like Share More Similar opinion. What brand? The grind will effect the rate at which the water flows through the coffee in the filter and therefore the taste of the coffee. The resulting coffee will be over extracted, too dark and bitter, with a mottled and uneven crema on top. This will result in an under-extracted coffee lacking in flavor and without the thick crema on the top layer of coffee. It is important to use the correct filter for the amount of coffee. When packing for a double espresso it is important only to tamp after the second measure. Tamping between measures will create a layer in the coffee that can impede full extraction. This results in a bitter beverage with visibly bleached crema. Crema is the caramel colored layer that floats on top of the coffee following extraction. While I have moved on from the coffee world to become a freelance writer, I occasionally moonlight at my neighborhood shop in Brooklyn and have retained my palate and technique. In the process of researching this guide, I read articles, blog posts, and reviews by coffee experts, watched product demo videos from sites such as Seattle Coffee Gear and Whole Latte Love, and interviewed Alison Nowak, a Boston-area barista of nearly 20 years experience currently working for George Howell Coffee. Here is our guide. Regardless of a model’s sophistication and power, it takes a bit of time to get accustomed to its process. Making perfect drinks at home requires patience and discipline, and even with all my experience, I was occasionally humbled during testing. But provided that you read the manual and take some time to assess how your shots are pulling, you’ll be comfortable on any of our picks. If you are obsessed with coffee, attend cuppings, and already experiment with a variety of brewing methods, you may want to invest in a machine that is significantly more expensive than our upgrade pick. How we picked Pulling a shot on the Breville Barista Touch. Photo: Sarah Kobos Our goal was to find approachable and affordable espresso machines, ones that could satisfy novices and also intermediate users (or even an old hand like me). At a baseline level, an espresso machine works by forcing hot water through finely ground beans with pressure. The water must be the right temperature, about 195 degrees Fahrenheit—much cooler, and your espresso will be under-extracted and weak; much hotter, and it can be over-extracted and bitter. And the pressure must be constant so that water flows evenly through the grounds. Basic espresso machine parts and accessories to know. Photo: Sarah Kobos There are three different styles of machine (not counting capsule-based machines like the Nespresso, which merely mimic espresso) that give you more or less control over this process: Manual espresso machines require you to create the pressure with your own force by pulling on a lever (that’s why it’s called “pulling a shot”). Inadequate pressure will result in uneven extraction, which is why manual models are the hardest to control of all the styles. Since they’re tricky to master and uncommon, we decided not to test them.
