Ask a question I have a braun thermoscan 4520. I purchased this unit about 6 years ago and it worked fine until about two months ago. No matter how I place the thermometer in my ear I only get the POS error. I've cleaned the unit as well as changed the batteries and used new caps but it still gives me this error. Other than the position not being correct (which cannot be my case as I know very well how to position the thermometer) could this error be caused by maybe the unit finally reaching its end of life.
