The pony is actually the controller for educational video games. View larger. The receiver features kid friendly controls. View larger. What We Think Fun Factor: Durability: (what this means) The Good: Wireless technology, easy-to-use features, and challenging games make this interactive pony and educational games entertaining and educational for toddlers The Bad: While it's recommended for children 12 months or older, most 12-month-old children will be too small to use this toy effectively. But this pony is much more than your standard rocking horse: it is also the actual controller for the included educational video games. After some quick-and-easy adult assembly (you'll need a Philips screwdriver) and battery insertion (you'll need three AAA batteries and three C batteries), we found it easy to start playing right away. Using wireless technology, the pony's motions control the video games. We found the wireless technology very convenient: we could put the pony anywhere from 3 to 15 feet from the receiver. That said, we discovered that, as recommended, the pony should be positioned on a carpeted surface, since it slides relatively easily on hardwood floors or other smooth flooring material. http://www.eagleeyebird.com.au/files/bpt-ophera-manual.xml

Games That Grow With Your Child The educational games feature simple, colorful animation that's easy for a small child to relate to, as well as perky, bright background music and fun sing-along songs. (Adult caregivers will appreciate that the potentially relentless background music can be shut off during play.) The child causes the animated features to react by bouncing on the pony and turning the drum on the pony's handle. Each game can be played at 1 of 3 levels of advancement, which can be selected by an adult using buttons on the receiver. Level 1 teaches the youngest toddler about action and reaction. Level 2 introduces letters, shapes, numbers, and colors. For example, in level 2 of the A to Z Zoo, each letter of the alphabet appears as the pony bounces, with the onscreen voice naming the letter. Spinning the drum on the pony's handle creates additional effects, such as playing new songs or changing the weather in the scene. Stand Alone Mode The child can change the game herself with arrow buttons on the pony's handle. If the child stops bouncing, after a short period a pony appears on the screen reminds the child to bounce and get the game going again. Just turn the drum or bounce the pony to start it up again. Smaller children will especially like that the pony can be played with by itself without the video games. In fact, in our estimation the stationary mode is best for the youngest toddler -- and only with lots of adult help. While our 22-month-old child tester found it very easy to mount, dismount, and ride the pony, most 12-month old children will not be able to balance safely on it, let alone bounce and spin independently, unless they have prodigy-like athletic abilities. This friendly pony bounces, spins, and rewards baby with lots of music and sounds, even without the TV. And when you set up the wireless TV connection, baby’s actions make big things happen on screen. The learning continues through three levels as baby grows. http://mosvag.ru/img/lib/bpt-system-300-manual.xml

Amy Napier 2.0 out of 5 stars Bouncing and spinning doesn't make the tv part do anything different either. On the other hand it can be made into a fun toy if you throw your expectations from the advertisements out the window. What can you do with your foot. Then use the horse by itself where it just makes it's own music and sounds to entertain and encourage them to keep going. We just got it not long ago and she is only almost 19 months old so I am hoping with a little more growth and use it will loosen up a bit or maybe use a little WD-40. But all in all, would I buy it again. No, and I wouldn't recommend it either but since we got it and the shipping to send it back would cost almost as much as what we payed I'm trying to make lemons into lemonade!:-) PS. I also don't see ANY 12 month old using this toy, maybe the tv box but definitely not the horse, that's a fall waiting to happen for most kids that age, allbeit a short and probably more frightening than hurtful fall but still a fall.He loves to ride the pony and use it on the option not connected to the tv. When it's connected to the tv I am not sure he really realizes that he is controlling what is happening on the tv yet. He doesn't know to make the pony bounce or spin the roller every time that he wants it to do something so that makes the tv part of it sort of boring. http://www.drupalitalia.org/node/73006

Maybe it will be more worth the money once he really realizes the connection. He does love the pony and it is really durable. The options on the tv part of it are of good educational value as well once they realize the connection. She hasn't been off it much since we got it. It was easy to assemble, only 4 screws in the base which otherwise snaps together, and 4 screws for the handlebars. Takes 3AAA in the pony itself (which works by itself as well) and 3C in the TV box. Requires yellow and white connector jacks on the TV, most late model TV's have these, the one we tried first didn't, we tried to hook it up through the VCR and it didn't work. Couldn't get it to work through the DISH box either. But works fine on our other TV's that have the colored connector jacks on the front or side of the TV. I would recommend this for any child able to sit on it and bounce without falling off. 44lb weight limit means it should be good through 4-5 years of age. We have another baby girl, 3 months old, and can't wait for her to be able to play with it, too!Thought it would be perfect for him. He enjoys the occasional jump on the pony but really doesn't care for the game portion of it. I think we would have been better off just getting the zebra that is only for jumping.or just a good ol fashioned trampoline. With the graphics on the tv, they are extremely pixelated and silly looking. I have to unplug all kinds of stuff to get it to work right on my TV (could just be my system!) and it's just not worth the hassle for him to be bored 5min later. He loves it, at first we didn't have the batteries needed to interactive the T.V. to the wirless remote. Once the batteries were placed in the remote my grandson was more interested in playing with the remote and did less sitting and riding the pony. LOL!!! Needless to say his Mommy put the remote away and now he just rides and rides. Therefore, I am not sure just how educational the toy really is. https://www.agence-immotech.com/images/bounce-flash-ttl-or-manual.pdf

When he is a little older my daughter will try the remote and interaction again. If I turn the TV on with it, he doesn't really understand how to use it and just keeps pushing the button to change the scenery (the level I set it on is level 1)or gets off the pony to dance to the music if he accidentally touched the roller thing so I guess he still enjoys it in a different way. It is a cute and well-made toy though overall, and maybe he will enjoy it more when he gets a little older.Maybe when he is a little older, he will like that. Still he loves his pony AND as a bonus - assembly was SUPER easy. If you want NextDay, we can save the other items for later. Order by, and we can deliver your NextDay items by. He spends a lot of his day on this, spinning and bouncing. It has fun lights and sounds, too. It's sturdy as well (he's a big boy, 3 feet tall and 35 pounds). Will have to replace it if something happens to it and he hasn't outgrown it. It's his favorite plaything.
