Digitech was not kidding when they said they nailed -- apparently with the help of uber-Producer Eddie Kramer -- Brian May's most famous tones. Crazy Little Thing Called Love also sounded remarkably close to the original solo sound. http://trip-sale.ru/userfiles/brother-mfc-260c-printer-manual.xml

Of course, who knows how this stuff REALLY sounds until you pump it through some AC30 style amps.so I ran it in stereo through two Budda SD30's.I almost fell over. It sounds A-MAZING. So, if you're looking to nail these tones vice merely approximate them, this is the pedal for you. The pedal itself: great condition, comes with box, manual, bag, and the ever important POWER SUPPLY. One strip of velco is embedded on the back as it was on my studio pedal board. I claim no credit! An amazing DigiTech team led by legend Eddie Kramer have created a device capable of making anybody sound like me! (If you should want to, that is!) Through an incredible new modeling technique, this pedal captures 14 of the most memorable tones I've achieved for Queen over the years.Plug in and turn it up -- and ROCK. The Brian May Red Special Pedal lets you bring your own personal creations to life using one of rock's most distinctive guitar tones. The meticulously crafted tones of the Red Special Pedal are modeled with the same gear used in the original recordings. Design your own unique tones using the Red Special Pedal's models and modes. Subscribe to our free newsletter Request a new review UTILIZATION The configuration of the DigiTech Brian May Red Special guitar pedal is pretty simple to follow and if you have any experience with guitar pedals you'll have no problems figuring out this pedal. http://www.calabriainrete.com/public/brother-mfc-260c-printer-service-manual.xml

Each knob has two layers of parameters and the unit as a whole has parameters for gain, level, treble, bass, and a knob to emulate the custom guitar that Brian May plays, with options to choose between either single coil or humbucker pick up emulation. It then has a mode knob that has seven different fixed points, each of which emulates the tone of a different Queen song. The manual for this pedal is put together well but isn't necessary to learn the unit. SOUND QUALITY The sound quality of the DigiTech Brian May Red Special is pretty outstanding, and is an extremely versatile pedal to boot. Not only does it do a great job of emulating May's tone, but is a cool pedal in its own right with plenty of different types of sounds. I usually use this pedal with a Fender Strat plugged into a '76 Fender Twin Reverb, so I think I get a pretty accurate read on what this pedal truly sounds like. Whether you are a fan of Queen and Brian May or not, I think you'll agree this is a cool pedal, but it is especially great for those of us who are fans like me. OVERALL OPINION I've been using the DigiTech Brian May Red Special pedal since it came out about a year or two ago as I was anticipating the release of this pedal for a while. I love the different tones I'm able to achieve with this pedal and the tones are pretty awesome across the board. Although the price isn't cheap, this is really a must have for guitar players who are big Brian May fans. Overall, highly recommended for all guitar players and especially Queen fans. Did you find this review helpful? yes no. UTILIZATION The configuration is simple but the buttons are difficult to ACCS, not adjust the control without disturbing the control infrieur suprieur has less to have fingers orfvre. The search for patches DIFFERENT nothing compliqu7 possibility of a button and switch on the pedals to get a 14 types of sounds. The manual for my part has t delivered in English but it is easy in the download franais. http://schlammatlas.de/en/node/15616

Toutefois not rocket science to use the pedals. SOUND QUALITY Uses a marshall amp with me and a guitar humbucker, the effects are rather Russian with a minimum of rglages both the amp on the pedals. But why have included the sound of the intro to crazy little sing Called Love?? I think it is unhelpful and limit.Pour the rest that remains very acceptable. OVERALL OPINION The particularity of the pedals is that it is a toy that can be used that home, it is indeed not possible to change the effect without stop playing to change the sound. The price is a bit multi levun effect of good quality is almost equivalent in price. Regarding the choice.Did you find this review helpful? yes no. In the box there is a 6 pence, mine in 1961 with the head of Queen Elizabeth. It hangs under the ropes, but the sound is identical. There is also a bag to put the pedal, but there is very little room for food. UTILIZATION In use, I have a little gallery for 30 min. The manual is in English and I'm not very good. But once everything runs well translated. For each model you have to turn the knobs to get the sound that goes well. I find ausi switch heel a little hard, but must also say that I play sitting down, not much strength to support it. To ease a little paradigm shift, we can put an optional footswitch to 60 Euros, I find it a bit expensive for the gain obtained using. To resume the previous opinion, it is true that for live use, it is not advisable. SOUND QUALITY I use the pedal with a whale low end and I live in the PC industry. The sound is very close to that of Brian, I said that with a Red Special's got to be even closer but verify). The effects in general are very well done. I am a bit disappointed with the sound emulation (for CLTCL), it saturates as soon as you scratch a little too hard. The sounds are very typical Brian May (normal), but I think we can also use it to play another song, with still a little color Queen. http://www.efodis.com/images/brewmaxx-manual.pdf

OVERALL OPINION I use this pedal for 2 days, it's true that I may not be enough back. I spent a lot of time trying to approach the sound of Brian with a GNX-2 and there is instant. It's true that it is for home use, or he must pause between each song to change the settings. I think the price can be a bit expensive, but when you're a fan and guitarist, there are not This pedal is designed mainly for fans who want to play in their rooms. Did you find this review helpful? yes no. For the sound of Brian, it can be a shortcut, but even when a lot of rods on the road. So the principle is simple you turn a knob on September 1 and oh, magic is the sound of Queen comes out of the amp. No need for all the gear, pedals a little and everything is l. Deacy sound, the flanger, phaser, delay two famous rponses ect. Ok but how you use it. It is not DEFINITIONS Poupa Choubi use this pedals. The big problem is that for every sound you need a rglage diffrent, which means you can only play a portion of a song. It is therefore impossible to use the pedals to the live. If they put it in with another parallle pdalier you need a noise gate and super balls quis good quality (or play with musicians who are deaf). So if I put a note in a ten for use. SOUND QUALITY In terms of sound quality, I must say that I am the proud Owner 'of the pedals from prs a month and since I seek continuous (day and night) a rglage suitable switches between the six of my Burns and forty-three buttons on my Vox Valvetronix SETTING THE. But I know I will get there one day, there's no reason y 'has to earn the lottery. OVERALL OPINION In conclusion, it is a gadjet plutt nice for the fan. We take pleasure with it is limited a. This means we can play as either in his room or on a recorder. But all is not lost as we find in the box with this marvel of technology 250 euros a small piece of six pence. to OCCAZ. 3 of 3 people found this review helpful Did you find this review helpful? yes no. It's crazy tions all of us on the ass before this marvel, THE Queen's 100 !!! I will rush to buy it, and I will give an opinion ps: There ame sound Mtal kind nomtal, I did not know Brian also played with Mtal sounds: D NOTICE GLOBAL As said above I 'lai not yet, but I've seen test substance, and happiness. I'll rush to buy it and you will too.By using our services, you agree to our use of cookies. Find out more. Togg, I haven't tried the other artist series pedals from Digitech due to the fact that I've never liked their stuff before. How about a review of the Clapton pedal. I'm not a big fan of his tone, but if they have come close to recreating it without all the digi-noise (and it doesn't break in the first week), I might give it a try.Just louder. This particular guitar seems to get me a great Brian sound. 2) I do run it through either my Vox reverb twin amp via the speaker out or into a Marshall cabinet. Both work really well and add a bigger speaker for added warmth. And 3) I also use it via a Behringer V-amp effects unit. The guitar into the VBM1, speaker out (or it may be the recording out) into the v-amp input. Then a specially contructed patch to make the best use of the amp modelling within the V-amp. These are the 3 main ways I've used the unit. But even today I just like plugging into the unit and soloing away. My guitar and that amp just work nicely together. I have another Hohner RTS model guitar that should be similar, but doesn't have the same sweet sound. I guess I'm lucky in that sense. I've also demo'd the Burns RS through it and my guitar is close to that sound. If you want to know anything else, just ask. Peace, Adam. P.S. I just picked up a Digitech GNX3 and that unit doesn't have a particularly digital sound. You really think all Digitech gear does?I've been able to use the VBM1 as a preamp for recording solos (love the bite to the sound), but I have to skip using it live. I need some kind of footswitch to bypass it for live rhythym part. BAIDUVPN.COM/upload/files/canon-70-200-is-manual.pdf

I don't think they make one, so I just use a treble booster live in its place. It's not as sharp, but at least I can kick it on and off with my foot. I used the delay and reverb, but any distorotion, phase or other effects gave me a tinny sound. So that left me with a couple of expensive delay units. I gave them another chance about a year ago and picked up an envelope filter. It had potential, but quit working after three days. Needless to say, I gave up on them at that point. BTW, I tested the GNX board, and I thought it was an improvement, but I went with the Vox modeler - unbelieveable sound out of that little box. I'll try the new Brian pedal. I downloaded the manual and it looks great. Hopefully the thing lasts longer than a few days this time around. Thanks again, DocA few years ago I took apart a small Yamaha computer speaker as I was looking to see what my amp sounded like through it. Yes, this was before the VBM as I was looking for a deacy sound. Anyway, it actually sounds really good. It's just a bit weak in gain. However, the sound is very reminiscent of the harmony guitars on Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy. Anyway, I plug into the speaker out on the VBM and that gives a pretty excellent sound. It's just a shame the speaker is quite quiet. But for micing up, it produces a great sound. Peace, Adam.Answers on a postcard.Looking at it I think they have cramed a lot into a small box. I don'tthink any of the stores actually have one yet.First, what I don't know: I don't know if it's true to it's claim to turn a different guitar into a Red Special via the SC or HB selection on the guitar knob. I have a Burns Red Special so I keep it set on that. I also don't know how good the Deacy effect is. I assume at this point that the Deacy sound is strictly a studio thing involving several working together in harmony. The Winter's Tale bit adds a cleaner sound and a touch of delay to it which is nice. Okay, what I do know: 1. {-Variable.fc_1_url-

This Pedal perfectly imitates Brian May's signature tone and allows one to control it's volume to reasonable levels, still keeping most of the sustain. Not only this, but with the treble, bass and gain knobs all being seperate from the level knob, you can really tweak the sound out, getting it to conjure a number of RS sounds. 2. BRIGHTON ROCK IS HERE!! The pedal has the Brighton Rock Live tone perfect and with control over the time between the repeats. This works great, giving you the best you can get with repeats all coming from one amp. I think through a mixer one can seperate the repeats and have them come out of 3 seperate amps if you have them, but I am not sure. My only complaint is that the longest delay amount, while ample for BR, still could have been longer. Today's guitar lesson(I still suck, but not for long now that this pedal is here) was the bad ass intro to 'China Belle' off of the Another World album. The pedal makes the sound perfectly! 4. The Ovation setting is sweet. I'm not crazy about the Telecaster, but I imagine it just needs adjusting with the knobs and a better player which I hope to eventually be. 5. The We Will Rock You setting is perfect. I never knew or thought about a phaser effect being involved, but this time something missing before was suddenly present in the tone. The bottom line is that there is no longer any reason to complain about replicating the BM tone. Granted it helps greatly that I have at least a Burns, and that I do have a good AC30, but my Fryer Pedals and Vox BM1 are now officially useless. I might even sale them. For anyone interested in starting a BM kit, by the Digitech pedal first and foremost. As for negatives, I don't really have any at all. I guess it's barriers from pure perfection are the absense of the weird ass 'Get Down Make Love' effect, the slightly limited delay, and I still am skeptical about the Deacy effect being truly authentic, but what do I know. https://www.everhouse.lt/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/162871326c1ca2---cadillac-workshop-manual-pdf.pdf

It sounds like you've spent a lot of time working with the VBM1, and I think that is what's missing on my end. I'm a bit lazy when comes to things like this. AmeriQueen, Great review. Where did you get the pedal. I've been to Guitar Center every day this week and they act like they've never heard of it. Sounds like a lot of fun - thanks again. How about it AmeriQueen. But no longer need your Fryer???? There's no way it's better than that. Is there?Peace, Adam.It is quite amazing. Also the control knob. This effect different features depending on which preset you have on. I set the delay time for BR solo. The amount of phaser used on several settings. The expression pedal works on several setting.Set to Toe on the WWRY preset is Brians tone for that slol. Again, all adjustable to you liking. Every preset was money. KYA has the perfect amount of phaser dialed in. Being able to adjust the delay time is a nice feature. It really is staggering how accurate it is. Yes it a very cool pedal. Theres so much more but I don't have the time to talk about it. Anyone else care to ad an opinion? It gives hope to those without those guitars and amps. Not all of us get to be hardcore equipment owners. Peace, Adam.Could an owner describe it for me. I'm thinking of importing one from the states cause it would still work out cheaper than buying it here in the UK!!I've never been to the U.K. so I have no idea if it's that way over there. However, we have huge chain stores like Guitar Center and Sam Ash Music. They are able to sell things for much cheaper then the independent music stores due to their size and the fact that they move equipment from store to store to insure it sells. I’m not sure if you guys have huge chain music stores like us, but that’s what I assume allows for the cheaper prices on musical supplies. If I were to buy it from the local music store, I would probably have to pay as much, if not more then what you pay. BAHETH24AQARI.COM/ckfinder/userfiles/files/canon-70-200-is-f4-manual.pdf

When the Burns Brian May Guitar came out, I had a hard time getting one here. So far the whole series as been released and floated around that price, mainly the Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix models. Both of those players are much more popular here, so in a way you could make an argument that they are charging too much for it (not that I would agree with that assessment though). Why did you think it was. I did a search and found it's the Digitech PS0913B power supply that runs at 1300Ma. 9 volt. We have big stores here in the UK too - Sound Control, Turnkey, Digital Village, etc. But the price is 200 pounds. PieDog - - 195 I think I'll just import one in for cheap. I can't believe the difference is so huge. Without shipping, it's 108 pounds!! What the.? Peace, Adam. I find it to mostly just be a treble boost with some distortion. What is lacking is any way to get harmonization from it as that isn't part of the pedal. I know Brian has a lot of ways of harmonizing including overdubs and long delays but this pedal could have added some of that. Overall, disappointing. Please try again later. Esteban Berdote 5.0 out of 5 stars Please try again later. Please try again later. Lawrence G. Leichtman 3.0 out of 5 stars I find it to mostly just be a treble boost with some distortion. Overall, disappointing. Please try again later. Please try again later. Danno 4.0 out of 5 stars I'd like to share my thoughts on the pedal with you so that you can decide if this purchase is for you. I never believed that my Gibson SG could sound like it had single-coil pickups wired out-of-phase like Brian May's, but I was wrong. When played with a quality guitar, the Red Special sounds uncannily as if you've borrowed Brian May's equipment for a little while. You probably considered buying a Guild or Burns copy of Brian May's own guitar but either decided against it due to price or because you already have a quality instrument and can't justify buying another guitar. You will not be disappointed with this pedal. There's also a clean, unprocessed emulation of the homemade Deacy amp that Brian used to great effect on many Queen albums (more on that later). It's amazing how close this pedal lets you get to Brian May's guitar sounds without having to own a Red Special guitar and a Vox amplifier. As for the other sounds, there is a nice reverb-laden Telecaster patch that's quite nice for doing retro rock or blues. I doubt most of the people buying this pedal are interested in that, however. Many of the sounds also have a prominent hissing sound if you take your hands away from the guitar while playing - most likely this is due to the sheer amount of feedback this pedal generates. I did not experience this hiss when running the pedal directly into a mixer, nor do I get any hiss when I use my guitar and amp with most other pedals. I'm particularly happy with the Deacy amp emulation because its very cleanliness invites you to incorporate your own effects later in your effect chain. It can sound heavenly with a clean chorus or flanger either live or in a mixer. All of the heavier emulations are very responsive to playing dynamics, but I think the gorgeous trebly tones of the Deacy amp lend themselves best to you finding your own sound (instead of emulating Brian). I also think the Deacy amp emulation is solely an amp emulation, and doesn't incorporate Brian's Burns pickups but I could be wrong. As for the rest, I predict an explosion of Queen soundalike bands on the local club circuit. The double delays aren't as easy to use as you'd think, and they will challenge your musical skills and spur you on to explore new ideas. If you've got 200 dollars to spare, and are an experienced guitar player and Queen fan, you will be very, very happy with most of the sounds on this pedal. Please try again later. Please try again later. T. Tennard 4.0 out of 5 stars Brian May, along Steve Hackett, Steve Vai and Dave Bainbridge is one of my favorite guitar players. For years I have loved Brian's unique guitar tones. I have tried many times on my own to reproduce his guitar sound to very mixed results. The Red Special faithfully reproduces Brian's tones from songs like 'Keep Yourself Alive', 'Tie Your Mother Down', 'We Will Rock You', 'We Are The Chanpions', 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love', (a cool model, however this is one song that I would not have chosen). The Queen song that has endlessly fascinated me for years has been 'Brighton Rock' and Brian's metallic tone and use of delay on the song. One of the models on the Red Special pedal replicates that sound fantastically. It was one of the first models that I tried when I got the pedal home. Along with the various models there are controls to adjust the gain, treble, bass, midrange, phaser amount and level as well as delay amount and level. Overall this is one of the best pieces of gear that I have every purchased, I was not dissappointed. I must say that the pedal actually far exceeded my expectations. The only issue that I have is the choice of song models. I would love to have seen models based off of Brian's tone on songs like 'Sweet Lady', 'One Vision', 'These Are The Days Of Our Lives', 'Hitman', 'Another One Bites The Dust' and some of the sounds from his solo cds. That aside this is a great buy. If you are a Brian May fan this pedal is a must. Please try again later. Please try again later. No cheap dials and as solid as a rock. I won't go into each setting as someone has already done that. Though somewhat skeptical about it reproducing that classic Brian May sound, all doubts were quickly wisked away as soon as I played through it. I have an Ibanez RG and a American Standard Strat and both sound amazing. It's very easy to use and the amount of effects and tones make this a really smart choice. I also love the extra bonus of the sixpence. If you've never tried playing with one, do yourself a favor, you won't want to use a pick again. Just one important thing to keep in mind. This pedal will make your guitar sound like the Red Special. However it won't make you sound like Brian May unless you can play his licks and even then, there is only one Brian May and no one will ever sound exactly like him. Please try again later. Please try again later. M. Ahearn 4.0 out of 5 stars I have spent many years (and money) trying and get as close to Brian May's tone only to be disappointed time after time. And of course if you are mad enough to end up with at least 3 AC30's no one will let you plug in because output decibels versus venue size. So you either buy a very good attenuator or THIS PEDAL. Seriously speaking this pedal has a very good studio sound; in that you can play quite convincing Queen tones from it. It has an exceptional Deacy tone that it far better than Vox's Deacy amp I think (I own one - has a poor treble booster version). Plus the delay setup works very well, just roll back off the pedal if your repeats end up louder than the leading attack. SO yes overall very very good. And fun. I gave a four star rating as I currently use a 93 Guild BM Pro with Adeson pickups, a Pete Cornish Treble Booster and three AC30's. Even with these I am still not quite there. There is of course the Foxx Phaser and the Boss CE-1 Chorus Ensemble. Again this pedal gives this tone. So for the money is tremendous value. However tone wise it is limited. The tones have been set up to replicate the song tones that ended on the Master recordings. In the studio the Bohemian Rhapsody solo was recorded with the microphones in the corner of the room and not against the amp so therefore effects the tone. This is the same for the other tones. So if you want just a standard AC30 plus treble booster sound then forget it. Everything sounds slightly modified and in some instances muffled unless you're playing the same style suited for the tone. Personally I think this is a very good pedal, well worth the money. Tone wise it does have limits plus the manual has errors for those with Red Special pickup switches. You need to look up the internet for the correct settings. Please try again later. Please try again later. Emilio Honorio De Melo 5.0 out of 5 stars Please try again later. Please try again later. Something went wrong. View cart for details. All Rights Reserved. That's because DigiTech models seven of the signature sounds Brian May produced while playing with that legendary band. All of these effects were ones he played on his famous homemade Red Special guitar. The guitar controls give you three basic options, based on what guitar you're playing. The “SC” mode makes a single coil Strat-type electric guitar come across like a Red Special. The “HB” mode makes a humbucker Les Paul type of electric guitar come across like the Red Special. There’s also the Red Special mode itself for playing an actual Brian May Special through this pedal. The DigiTech Brian May pedal accessories feature seven control knobs. These controls include the Gain, Level, Treble, Bass, Control, Guitar, and Model, and together they let you dial in the exact tone you seek. Gain control modifies the level of distortion. Level adjusts the level of output from the pedal. The two EQ controls set the levels of your high and low frequencies. The control knob labeled Control actually performs several functions, depending on which Model is selected. On effects like those heard on “We Will Rock You,” it controls the effect's rate. Effects like those on “Tie Your Mother Down” demonstrates modified tones. The delay frequency is also changeable, as demonstrated on the song “Brighton Rock.”The Model control on the pedal lets you select which of the seven classic Queen guitar sounds to duplicate. All were based on May's guitar, which he played with Burns Tri-Sonic pickups and a treble booster through a Vox amp on most of the above examples. This applies no matter whether it's in heel or toe mode.
