It is a GREAT juicer, the least Breville can do is STOCK THE PART.I originally decided on a masticating juicer, but made the mistake of purchasing a lower end model here on Amazon just to have it break after only a few uses. Thankfully, Amazon is great about returns and made the process easy. Now to my opinion of this juicer.I juiced a lot of veg, 2 pitchers (that it comes with about 4 cups each) and the pulp container was not even half full, yet there was no pulp in the juice. I've even had the slow masticating juicers, this is better.I truly love this juicer in every way. I will never go back to the lower end ones (that cost about the same anyway, oh brother!) or the expensive slow hard to use and clean ones.I couldn't possibly ask for more. Easy to set up, easy to use, and extremely easy to clean. It seems to suck out as much juice as possible, because what's left inside is completely dry. I have had no issues and I hope it stays that way. So far so good, now it just has to stand the test of time.This is a powerful juicer, and doesn't skip a beat when you throw hard stuff like ginger or sweat potatoes in it. I juice at least 2 times a week, and I do enough for my husband and I for a couple days, so I run a lot of stuff through it. I put a produce bag in the garbage bucket, which makes clean up much easier, and then I can just throw it in my compost pile. I think for how many moving parts it has, the clean up is pretty easy. Please try again I have had it a couple of weeks now and it works great. They provide a little brush to clean out the fine mesh filter and this works great and takes very little time. It says you can put it in the dishwasher, but I never would. It cleans so quick under tap water that I personally see no need to risk clouding the plastic. The juicer is very well made and sturdy. The parts are stainless steel. I think this is well worth the upgrade over the less expensive model that is made with plastic parts. The juice made from this is great. It handles hard and medium items really well. Softer items like spinach are a bit of a challenge. You need to roll up leaves tight and sandwich them between harder items to get the best result. The juice tastes fantastic. It doesn't heat the juice up so you get all of the nutritional benefit of cold extraction. It does take up a fair bit of counter space and you need lots of overhead clearance to move the food plunger in and out of the chute. But, the juicer is functionally attractive and is not an eyesore. So I bought this unit about 12 years ago and got about 10 years on it and the motor bearings finally went (though machine still worked fine, just some extra noise).
