The speaker wire coming out of the back of the woofer goes into computer and it's a wire with 2 plugs, a pink one and a green one. It doesn't appear to make any. I thought I had reconnected it right, but I get no sounds whatsoever from the speakers.. Can i just hook it to my laptop speaker jack or do i need special sw.I was looking for a user guide. To this day these speakers still sound amazing. I would have never expected the little speakers to sound so clear and the sub bumps hard for its size. I don't know the total use hours but these were the desktop speakers back in the day when we were downloading from lime-wire and actually used desktop computers. Nowadays these speakers are used for music for the dog while I'm at work. I'd say these speakers have over 7000 hours on them, still sound crisp and the sub still shakes the walls. They sound incredible for the size, Typical Boston. Very full rich sound, smooth mids highs and bass, very impressive for size. Also magnetically shielded for use near any TV or monitor, and headphone and microphone jacks. When I got this item, there was no sound from the Subwoofer, yet I was getting sound from the Small Speakers. So upon my trouble shooting, I found that the knob for the volume control of the Subwoofer was broken. I soldered the connection so that the subwoofer was always on and it now works great. After about 2 years the first one failed due to a broken pin on connector. I think the pin broke because I set it up and disassemble it multiple times per week which weakened the connector pin. I set up and disassemble the BA745 sound system 3 to 5 times times per week at different customer locations to conduct technical seminars. So, it gets a lot of use. This new one appears to have an improved pin connector. Even so, to avoid pin failure I decided to leave it connected to the subwoofer at all times.
